All 10 Dream Builders

Every gift is part of this activity.

What You’ll Practice

  • Name personal strengths in your own words
  • Recognize that different gifts belong together
  • Follow a multi-step making process

What You’ll Need

  • Paper or cardstock
  • Crayons, markers or colored pencils
  • Scissors (adult supervision)
  • Glue or tape

Safety note: An adult should handle or closely supervise all cutting. Younger Builders can tear leaf shapes by hand instead of cutting.

How to Make It

  1. 1

Draw a wide trunk on your paper and color it. Make it thick enough to hold every branch.

  2. 2

Add 10 branches, one for each Dream Builder, or fewer branches, one per person in your family or classroom.

  3. 3

Cut or trace 10 colorful leaves using the printable templates below.

  4. 4

On each leaf, write or draw one gift or positive strength: kindness, helping, belief, curiosity, imagination, creating, strength, innovation, leadership, courage, or your own.

  5. 5

Glue or tape one leaf to each branch.

  6. 6

Add a glow: color small gold dots or stars around the leaves so your tree shines like Dreamlight.

  7. 7

Family or classroom version: give every person their own leaf, then build one giant shared tree for the wall.

Section 1

Leaf Templates

Print this page, then cut or trace each shape.

Cut along the outlines. Write one gift or strength inside each leaf.

Parent & Teacher Note

Write the first leaf yourself about them (“you notice when people are sad”), then let them fill the rest. Hearing a strength named out loud is the whole activity.
